IYOBE Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”) has established the following Privacy Policy (hereinafter the “Policy”) regarding the handling of personal information of persons who use the Company’s services (hereinafter “Users”). The Company will build a framework for the protection of personal information, raise awareness among all employees of the importance of protecting personal information, and thoroughly implement measures to protect personal information.
Article 1 Personal Information
“Personal information” means the “personal information” defined in the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (Act No. 57 of 2003; hereinafter the “Act on the Protection of Personal Information”), and refers to information about a living individual that identifies a specific individual from descriptions such as name or date of birth, or that includes a personal identification code.
Article 2 Purposes of Use of Personal Information
The Company will acquire and use Users’ personal information to the extent necessary for the following purposes. If the Company intends to use personal information beyond the scope of the purposes below, it will obtain the User’s consent in an appropriate manner in advance.
- To provide the Company’s services (hereinafter referred to as the “Services”).
- To improve and upgrade the content of the Services and to develop new services.
- To provide information about new features, updates, campaigns, and other notices regarding the Services and other services offered by the Company (including by e-mail, leaflets, and other direct mail).
- To contact Users as necessary for maintenance, important notices, and other essential communications.
- To respond to Users’ opinions, inquiries, etc., regarding the Services (including identity verification).
- To report to Users about their usage status of the Services.
- To request cooperation in surveys, interviews, and participation in various events relating to the Services, and to report the results thereof.
- To investigate and analyze usage history of the Services and utilize the results for improving/developing the Services or delivering advertisements.
- To provide personal information to companies participating in Company-hosted events when such provision is based on the consent or application of the User.
- To identify and refuse use by Users who violate the Terms of Use or who attempt to use the Services for fraudulent or improper purposes.
Article 3 Management and Protection of Personal Information
The Company will manage personal information strictly and will not disclose or provide personal information to third parties without Users’ consent except in the cases listed below. The Company will take preventive and corrective measures to address risks such as unauthorized access to personal information, loss, destruction, falsification, and leakage, and will implement measures appropriate to ensure security.
- Where it is necessary to protect a person’s life, body, or property and obtaining the User’s consent is difficult.
- Where it is especially necessary to improve public health or to promote the sound upbringing of children and obtaining the User’s consent is difficult.
- Where cooperation is required for a national or local government body, or a person entrusted thereby, to perform duties prescribed by law, and obtaining the User’s consent could impede the performance of such duties.
- Other cases permitted by law.
Article 4 Outsourcing of Personal Information Handling
The Company may outsource all or part of the handling of personal information within the scope necessary to achieve the purposes of use. In such cases, the Company will sufficiently examine the suitability of the subcontractor, stipulate confidentiality obligations and other necessary matters in contracts, and exercise appropriate supervision over the subcontractor.
Article 5 Joint Use of Personal Information
The Company may jointly use Users’ personal information to the extent necessary to achieve the purposes of use within the following scope.

Article 6 Disclosure of Personal Information
Users may request disclosure of personal information held by the Company in accordance with the procedures set forth in Article 9. Upon receipt of such a request, the Company will disclose it to the User without delay. However, if disclosure would fall under any of the following, the Company may refuse to disclose all or part of the information, and if it decides not to disclose, it shall notify the User without delay.
- Where disclosure would be likely to harm the life, body, property, or other rights or interests of the User or a third party.
- Where disclosure would be likely to substantially impede the proper performance of the Company’s business.
- Other cases where disclosure would violate laws and regulations.
Article 7 Correction, etc., of Retained Personal Data
Users may request disclosure of personal information held by the Company in accordance with the procedures set forth in Article 9. Upon receipt of such a request, the Company will disclose it to the User without delay. However, if disclosure would fall under any of the items listed in the preceding Article, the Company may refuse to disclose in whole or in part and will notify the User without delay if it decides not to disclose.
- If a User believes that the personal information held by the Company is incorrect, the User may request correction, addition, or deletion (hereinafter “correction, etc.”) in accordance with the procedures set forth in Article 9.
- Upon receipt of such a request, the Company will conduct the necessary investigation without delay, and if it determines that the request is justified, it will promptly make the correction, etc.
- If the Company decides to implement or not implement the correction, etc., it will notify the User without delay.
Article 8 Suspension of Use of Personal Information, etc.
- A User may request suspension of use, erasure, or suspension of provision to third parties (hereinafter “suspension of use, etc.”) of personal data retained by the Company in accordance with the procedures set forth in Article 9.
- Upon receipt of such a request, the Company will carry out the necessary investigation without delay, and if it determines that the request is justified, it will suspend use, etc., of the personal data. However, if suspension of use, etc., would require significant cost or is otherwise difficult, and an alternative measure can be taken that protects the User’s rights and interests, the Company may take such alternative measures.
- If the Company determines whether to implement or not implement the suspension of use, etc., it will notify the User without delay.
Article 9 Procedures for Disclosure, etc., of Personal Information
When making a request under Articles 6 through 8, the User should fill in the required information on the request form specified in (1) below, enclose the identity verification documents specified in (2) below, and send them to the address specified in (3) below. For disclosure of personal information, please enclose a Y520-worth postage stamp for postal charges per request.

Article 10 Procedures for Changes to the Privacy Policy
The Company will review and strive to improve this Policy as appropriate. Except as otherwise provided by law or by this Policy, the contents of this Policy may be changed. The revised Privacy Policy will become effective from the time it is notified to Users by the Company’s prescribed method or posted on the Company’s website.
Article 11 Compliance with Laws and Norms
The Company will comply with Japanese laws and other norms applicable to the personal information it holds.
Article 12 Handling of Complaints and Consultations
The Company accepts complaints and consultations from Users regarding the handling of personal information and will respond appropriately and promptly. The Company will also respond promptly and appropriately to Users’ requests for disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, or refusal of use or provision of personal information.
Article 13 Security Control Measures
The personal information entrusted to the Company by Users will be protected by organizational, physical, human, and technical measures such as implementing access restrictions to personal information files, recording access logs, and implementing security measures to prevent unauthorized external access. In the unlikely event of an incident involving leakage of Users’ personal information, the Company will promptly report to the supervisory authorities in accordance with the Act on the Protection of Personal Information and related guidelines, and, following the instructions of the supervisory authorities, will take necessary measures including steps to prevent recurrence and similar incidents. Article 14 Use of Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a service provided by Google, Inc., to understand Users’ visit patterns to the site.
When Google Analytics is used on this site, Google collects, records, and analyzes Users’ visit logs to this site based on cookies issued by the Company.
The Company receives the analysis results from Google and uses them to understand Users’ visit status to this site. The information collected, recorded, and analyzed by Google Analytics does not include any information that identifies a specific individual. Such information is managed by Google in accordance with Google’s privacy policy. Users can stop the collection of information by the Company’s use of Google Analytics by disabling Google Analytics via a browser add-on.
